I was fortunate to be asked by Kathryn Blume to document the Vermont 350 Dance Party at Higher Ground last Saturday night. As some of you may have heard, October 24th was the first International Day of Climate Action, organized by the good ol’ earth savin’ souls at 350.org. The event was simulcast on statewide cable stations and across the web by a crew from both RETN and CCTV, two local access stations. And the music… what a way to bring a group together. Spiritual Rez and Barefoot Truth provided some compelling and infectious dance music!
I shot this short promo on a Panasonic DVX100B with an LP Micro LED light mounted on it. This little dimmable light was perfect for off the cuff interviewing in the dark club! Sound was tricky with all the background noise , but I found some success with a Lectrosonics wireless Lav system for the interviews.
